One fine Wednesday in the middle of October the team was prayer walking on the campus of Alaska Pacific University (APU). Chris and Amy paired up and head off to pray for APU, Laura and I paired off and h
ead the other way. This left Scott, our Spirit filled leader, to pray by himself. While walking around praying, Scott decided he should go through the parking lot and look for used cars. He notices a nice car but no for sale sign. What Scott did notice however was that the car had three different Christian bumper stickers on it. He took out a piece of paper and wrote down an invitation to help us launch a ministry and our team’s email address. After a quick prayer to God to prevent the rain from making the ink run, he crammed the note into the weather striping of the drive’s door. A week of Scott checking the email and no response left him with little hope the note survived. Nevertheless, God was at work.
Chris, Laura, and I head back to APU a week later to prayer walk again. During our time with God, we asked for the walls to come down, for God’s truth to break forth, and for some women leaders to rise up. Later that day the three of us went to a young adult group. Afte
r hearing a great message, we headed out to the lobby to see if some friends wanted to hang out. While deciding where to go a girl walks up to Chris and asks if he went to the University of Idaho (UI). It turns out that she was part of Crusade at UI and was in the same sorority as a friend of Chris’. She just happens to have transferred to APU and told us of a note from some guy Scott (which was crammed in her window) that she need to email. Before parting ways, she gave Chris her number, and told him she was anxious for us to get back to her. God is at work up here in
